City Council District 1
Erick Rosengren is a lifelong resident of Bristol who has served his community in various appointed positions. He was elected to the Board of Assessment Appeals (BOAA) and also serves as an alternate commissioner on the Housing Code Appeals Board, a member of the ESSER/ARP (Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund/ American Rescue Plan) School Building Projects Committee, the Bristol Youth Services Board, the Northeast Middle School Board, and the Board of Public Works. In addition to his board roles, Erick is a liaison to the Board of Education, the Housing Authority, and the Fair Rent Commission.
With a deep commitment to community service, Erick is now running for City Council in our 1st Council District. If elected, he would bring with him years of experience working with local boards and commissions that serve Bristol residents. As an accessible leader, he promises to be an attentive listener and work hard to ensure that every voice in the community is heard.

City Councilwoman Sue Tyler’s first two terms have kept her extremely busy.
Sue has worked diligently to resolve constituent complaints for all residents, helped create fair and respectful ordinances, wholeheartedly supported our men & women in blue at BPD, and skillfully negotiated real estate transactions that benefit the City.
Additionally, her work with our senior population assists many of our aging neighbors with a host of issues and as the Chairwoman of the Code Enforcement Committee, works tirelessly on improving our neighborhoods and the overall marketability of the City of Bristol.
Sue’s work with our vulnerable homeless population makes her one member of the team trying to combat our housing crisis.

Her open door policy and frequent constituent meetings have drawn many people into becoming more involved in their community.
Her support for Bristol businesses comes not only from personal connection, but the recognition that local businesses are the backbone to our community.
Sue is married to her husband and business partner, Bill.
They have three adult children, one grandchild, and keeping them company in their Chippens Hill home is their Golden Retriever, Madison.
Sue is the Broker Owner of a Bristol based real estate company, and spent her entire adult life in public service including twenty-seven years in law enforcement

Board of Education
A lifelong Connecticut resident, Jennifer was born and raised in Sandy Hook and made Bristol her home in 2001. She is a proud wife and mother of three children, attending three different schools in town—giving her a unique, firsthand perspective on Bristol’s educational landscape.
Since 2007, Jennifer has worked as a real estate agent, driven by a passion for helping families make meaningful decisions about homeownership. Her professional experience has deepened her understanding of the needs and priorities of Bristol residents.
Jennifer is also a dedicated volunteer. She supports students and families by delivering backpacks filled with groceries to combat weekend food insecurity, helps bi-weekly at Foodshare and at times lends a hand at St. Vincent DePaul's outreach center.
Outside of her work and volunteerism, Jennifer enjoys hiking with her family and their dog, and discovering new places around Connecticut with her children.
As a current Board of Education member, Jennifer is committed to advocating for all students, supporting staff, and being a responsible steward of taxpayer resources. She looks forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Bristol community with transparency, compassion, and dedication.

2023 BOE Commissioner for a 4 Year Term
Kristen Giantonio has been a Commissioner on the Bristol Board of Education since May of 2018, when she was appointed by the mayor to fill a vacant position. She was re-elected in 2019 and again in 2023. Kristen is especially interested in curriculum, special education and ensuring the safety and security of all students in the school environment. She is a strong proponent of parental rights and local control.
Kristen is one of the founding board members of the Greater Bristol Special Education Parent Teacher Organization, formed in 2011.
She was then recruited by a colleague to help create the statewide organization of SEPTOs called the Connecticut SEPTO Alliance, which became the sponsor for organizing Special Education Day at the state capitol. In June of 2016, Kristen was invited to join the Judicial Branch’s Advisory Board on the Americans with Disabilities Act by Judge Patrick Carroll, the Chief Court Administrator at the time and has remained on the board since.
Kristen is employed as a Program Manager at the State of CT Judicial Branch’s Information Technology Division and has lived in Bristol her entire adult life. She is the proud mother of a daughter who attends high school in Bristol Public Schools and has been happily married to her devoted and supportive husband Joe for close to 19 years. Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and vacationing in New Hampshire. She loves their family dog, Oden!

2023 BOE Commissioner for a 4 Year Term
Lori has lived in Bristol for 38 years, employed full time as a Care Specialist for a health insurance company, and currently serves on the RTC's Budget and Finance Committee.
Lori and her husband Rob have been married for 15 years, and have three sons ages 10, 12, and 14 who attend the Bristol Public Schools.
For the past 14 years, it has been an honor for Lori to serve the Bristol Community through her family's Christmas light display, Lights On Rosewood; a non-profit organization bringing the community together by supporting one another in need.
As a parent and Bristol resident, Lori believes it is her obligation and a priority to advocate for our youth; and, the safety and security of all students, educators, and staff in the Bristol Public School system. She values and has witnessed that a strong community, specifically the City of Bristol, can be a driving force to achieve unlimited possibilities as well as overcoming obstacles, by working together.

BOE Commissioner 2 year term
Rob Parenti, MBA, MA grew up in West Hartford and has been a proud resident of Bristol for the past 17 years, where he lives with his wife and son, a freshman at Bristol Central High School. As both a parent and an educator, he brings a strong personal connection to the Bristol Public Schools community and a clear understanding of the importance of thoughtful, student-centered decision-making.
Mr. Parenti is an experienced education leader with more than two decades of service across public education, private special education, nonprofit organizations, and education-focused technology. His career reflects a deep commitment to improving academic, social-emotional, and life outcomes for students, particularly those with complex learning and behavioral needs. He brings a balanced perspective that blends instructional expertise, operational leadership, and strategic vision.
Throughout his career, Mr. Parenti has held senior leadership roles including Chief Education Officer, Director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel, Director of Teaching and Education, and Director of Business Operations and Special Services. In these positions, he has overseen multidisciplinary teams, designed and expanded special education programs from early childhood through post-secondary transition, managed complex budgets, and ensured compliance with state and federal mandates, including IDEA and Section 504.
Mr. Parenti is recognized for his ability to lead systems-level change while remaining grounded in the day-to-day realities of schools. He has successfully launched new programs, guided organizations through periods of growth and crisis, and advanced trauma-informed practices, universal design for learning, and inclusive educational environments. He currently serves as a Special Education Teacher, providing him with firsthand insight into classroom instruction and student needs, and holds advanced degrees in business and special education along with Connecticut administrative and teaching licensure.

Greg is a lifelong resident of Bristol, who graduated from Bristol Eastern High School Class of 1970. He went on to attend Post University and graduated with his associate’s degree in 1972. He is retired from Pratt & Whitney after a 37 year long career working there. He has been married to his wife for 42 years and counting and has two adult daughters who both attended Bristol public schools and went on to become an occupational therapist and a nurse.
Some of his favorite childhood memories included growing up across the street from Page Park and spending time there. Greg has always been active in his community. He is currently a member of the Energy Commission Board, Planning Commission Board, Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Conservation Commission, and the Board of Assessment Appeals which is he running for reelection for. Over his lifetime he has witnessed Bristol change, grow, and have a deep routed sense of community. He enjoys working to help the town to achieve its goals of a better Bristol as the years go on.
